If I buy refurbished, I'd definitely prefer to go with the official Canon outlet - no contest.
Actually, if you click on any of the items in either link it takes you to the same seller - canon_uk1 - with nearly 50,000 transactions and 99.1% positive. I think it's safe to assume it's genuine and reliable.

Since they all have Canon warranty, I'm sure it's safe to assume they've been refurbished by Canon so should be fine. I'm tempted as I would get a body with low shutter...
I'm looking to upgrade to an EOS 40D when I get home next week and was having a look on ebay. I found this guy http://shop.ebay.co.uk/merchant/bushbaby1 who seems to be selling quite a few similar cameras. The fact that they all have 11 months Canon warranty and differing numbers of actuations...
