Not specifically about photography, but some interesting views on creativity

Hmm I found it easy to watch and very thought provoking. I agree with everything said but unfortunately, can't see the powers that be, taking it on board.

I agree well worth watching and thank you for bringing it to my attention.
 
Thank you - I enjoyed that. I found it entertaining and thought provoking and many of the points he made resonated with me. One quote which stood out for me was "If you're not prepared to be wrong, you'll never come up with anything original." I think this is very meaningful in many areas, including photography. In many things, we use formulae and rules to regiment our activities and follow them religiously for fear of being wrong or different. Personally, I like different and I wish more people would risk "being wrong" and take a chance (including myself - I'm as guilty as the next man of not taking a chance).
I'm not talking about being different for the sake of being different though, I'm talking about being different because you believe that what you've done is good.
