Hi all, I'm in Edinburgh for one night and would like to go lens shopping tomorrow. I have already found Jessops and had a quick look tonight.... However are there any other shops in Edinburgh centre selling lenses? If any sell second hand gear that would be a bonus!

I would also recommend going second hand. A quick look on Ebay shows Canon 450Ds ~£280 and 500D ~£330. With either of them you might be able to squeeze in another lens and still be below your preferred budget.

Space really, it's not that i've got extra stuff that I want to pack but can't. I'd just like to consolidate the Netbook+USBHD+Charger in to something smaller if possible. But considering I already have a netbook, and the portable storage devices look to be around £300 (I cant find any of them...

I've already got a netbook + USB HD, which works very well. I'm just trying to save bag space :)

I use http://www.aventurehost.com/ and i've not had a problem with them. THe only problems have been with me forgetting passwords or asking something technical. All times they've been quick to reply to their support emails.

Log in to your Domain Name control panel. Find the the area where you can change the DNS records. Change the IP in the "www" record to point to your home server's IP.

I've used Vista and Windows 7 both as soon as they were available to Microsoft Technet subscribers and i've not had many (any?) issues with either. Having said that, I much prefer Windows7. I much prefer the new taskbar :D

I've been waiting for an excuse to post this (I must get around to posting my best shots from Berlin!) It was taken with my compact camera a Sony T300. The room was only lit by candles and I placed one directly behind the drink. I was surprised by the result.

Seems like a ridiculous change if you ask me :(

Amazing! I've been toying with the idea of astro photography but I think i'll start with something a little closer to home... the moon! :)
