Hi,
I recently got a green screen and took some photos but i'm unsure how to get the best results from editing the background.
I'm using Photokey 6 but anything i seem to try comes out looking very amatuerish and pretty poor.
take this image for example (not the greatest picture i...
I'm guessing that there will be a way of saving edited photos in light room as a finished jpeg and that way i can get rid of the raw file?
Don't want to get rid of all my raw files but there are a large number of photos i would be happy to just keep the edited jpeg and ditch the raw.
I'm just getting to grips with LR but it seems a great programme to sort all your photos.
I tend to delete quite alot (same as above i'm fairly new to this so not a great retention ratio of photos).
Next stage is to get to the point where I store alot of them as jpeg and get rid of the...
Think a tripod will be my next purchase.
can see this becoming a bit of an expensive hobby (addiction almost) and thats me not even started on the expensive lenses yet!
I started off buying a camera to get me started then decided i liked the look of long exposure photos. Filters bought but...
really like the photos linked in the original post.
I'm guessing with the exif data posted its just a case of trying to match these details to gain the same effect?
You say akward, others may say challenging! ;)
I do agree though that it can be a bit close for some indoor shots but i wouldnt let that put anyone off getting one.
searching for information on filters to help with longer exposure and found this really helpful.
Can now do a little bit of research and then get myself a filter and try some of these shots.
Found this helpful as it will save me going through thousands of videos in order to find the decent ones.
I have one of the Karl Taylor dvd's and found it helpful as a starting point, so might be worth checking his stuff out.
Thats excellent!
I can see the point someone made about getting bored by them after so long. Unless they are telling some sort of story then it can seem repetative.
Getting 5 months work into 4 minutes of video i'm fairly sure the photographer thought he was making it short!
I seen a couple of photos recently on flickr that had a newborn baby lying on top of some folded towels.
They looked really good, so might be an idea to keep in mind.
I tried a quick attempt in photomatrix but it looked pretty poor tbh.
Think i'll head out at some point and get a few better images to load into photomatrix and have another go.
I've downloaded the photoshop trial and have started messing around with it.
There are more options than i know what to do with!
started watching a few tutorials and will just take it from there.
I'm in a similar boat myself having just returned from holiday frustrated with my camera and have bought a canon 500d.
I've got myself a copy of 'Understanding exposure' to get through as that seems to be recommended often.
some good advice here regarding trying the camera out and finding its limitations before buying multiple lenses.
I'm just about to dive into SLR phoography and i think i'll play around with the kit lens until i realise what exactly it is i want to improve upon before buying another lens.
