If you had thought about claiming off your insurance policy to get this lens repaired, you made a big mistake announcing it on this forum, the best thing you can do now is send it to Canon Repair Centre in Elstree for repair, and then post a copy of the receipt on this thread.

if you are unhappy with loose focusing ring, and Jessops are out of stock of a replacement, you could ask for a refund and purchase one at another camera shop, but make sure you take it out of the box and examine it before purchasing it.

I had some grease smears on my 5D sensor after using the Arctic Butterfly, so i got some Orange Sensor Swabs and a bottle of VDust Plus and followed the instructions to the letter using 3-4 drops of solution across the end of the swab, but its leaving smears across the sensor, what am i doing...
