£100 is pretty much my limit as I'm still new to video and learning the basics. I actually have an LCW Fader ND for my other lenses, but it won't fit the Tokina 11-16mm I recently bought and wouldn't be as effective on ultra wide angles from what I've read.
I've done a quick search about this but can't seem to find much information. Has anyone used square/ rectangular ND filters (e.g. cokin/hitech) for video? Are there any DSLR video specific issues I should know about using them, (other than sharpness/color cast etc from cheap glass) that you...
Wow, quick replies haha. I know this shouldn't be too hard a decision, but I have done some research any many people advise to buy the 450d and use the savings to buy the lens, as IQ is very similar. However in my case I would be owning both bodies tomorrow and need to know which to get rid...
Hello, I'm struggling to make a decision on which camera to keep. Tomorrow I'll be getting a Canon 40d and Canon 17-55mm lens as the seller is selling for a really good price and does not want to split (I was mostly interested in the lens). I currently have a gripped 450d which I am pleased...
I've got a Nissin Di622 after researching various budget flash options, and it's served me well so far. I'm also an amateur myself and I am not a frequent flash user too, so just like you I couldn't justify spending too much on a Canon brand flashgun.
A review of the lens...
Thanks for that, it really is the type of information I am looking for. Seems to have less vignetting than I expected (well good enough for my uses anyway) and I don't think it would be too much of a problem for me in real world use.
I guess it would be more or less the same at 11mm on a...
Hello, I am just wondering if anyone has used Cokin P filters on a Tokina 11-16mm, and how badly it vignettes (if at all)? Also if it help I'm using a crop body (Canon 450d)
Another vote for the tamron. I upgraded to one from the kit lens for my 450D and it is a noticeable improvement. I've also read some good reviews on the Sigma 18-50mm f2.8, which is apparently very similar to the Tamron if you get a good copy. Bare in mind that primes tend to outperform zooms...
Hello, I have an RF602 wireless transmitter/ receiver set from eBay, which I bought for use with my Canon 450D. I have recently put it up for sale and a buyer with a Canon 7D wants to know if it would be compatible with his camera. I'm not sure about this but someone can help me with this.
