I can't answer on which cameras better, but i can say your friend doesn't know what he's talking about. 21pix too much for any lens? Nonsense, you can't have too many pix for a lens.

im my opinion, if you can afford the is version get it, but, i had the F4 non is version and loved it!

unfortunatly the z8 was a flop because of the insane price tag, and if i remember right they didn't make money on the sales either? stunning car though with the e39 m5 v8 engine! Al

Got lots of my own pics on the wall, granted they are pics of my kids. But I would definatly put my own pic on the wall. If anything it feels wrong to put someone elses work up now!

I've been back from afghanistan for about a week and a half now, using the car as normal, and just realised after updating the service history that my MOT ran out in November just after i arrived in afghan..... *****.... my wife's due a baby this week and i've now got to try get the car...

it would only be fair to be using the same lens though surely?

i went from a 40D to 5D mk1 and would definatly do it again.

another vote for the 24-105 f4L, a fantastic lens, or any of the 70-200L's
