gembobs, how are you finding the 70-200? I've read reviews & they seem fairly positive. If its an EF then i don't really need to worry about that :)
Thank you very much both of you.
I'm not planning to replace my 60d any time soon. I'm just being a cheapskate. I think i'll still get those lenses. As right now i'm still learning & i think it would be insane to upgrade without a need to.
I have my eye on 2 lenses at the moment that i am considering buying, but one thing has me puzzeled. What kind of fittings do they have on them. Will they be EF or EFS?
Ideally when buying new glass i want them to be EF incase in the future i replace my body with a body with a full frame...
i use it every now & again, i don't think my images are all that fantastic. I also use Camera Zoom FX on my phone, to be honest i'd rather use my camera then my phone for pictures.
Maybe i'm being snobby...
btw my id is aidan257
at the moment its local pubs/clubs/small venues. Now the Sigma 24-70mm seems to be a fairly reasonable price. So something to aim towards. May even be able to pick one up fairly cheap at Focus On Imaging next year.... depending on funds before then as thats still 8/9months away.
both of those lens specs bring up the big money L lenses, I'm actually borrowing a 24-70 f2.8 this w/e off my old man for something seperate.
I think i'll look for a 3rd party lens & see how i can get on. I do like the 24-70mm But at £1k its not something i can afford right now, though later...
how do you find the sigma? cause i have been tempted to pick this up for "gig" shots as my current lens tends to struggle in low light.
I have a Canon 28-135mm f3.5-5.6 on a 60D.
it all depends on what you use it for. tbh i've not even got as far as Aperture. I just use iPhoto which came on my Macbook Pro. Its a good place to start & if you find it too limiting then maybe move onto Aperture.
I was even considering some form of Photoshop, but iPhoto is surprisingly good...
I'll try to get some details, but my cousin is a photographer in N.Ireland who works for some Road Racing paper. He's just come back from the british grand prix in silverstone.
I'll see if who he works for would be able to either help you or put you in contact with someone who could help you.
a bit of advise i was given by my old man when i decided to take up photography was to buy the best of what you can afford.
I was originally going to get a Canon 1100D. But eventually was able to get enough for a 60D. It will push you to learn how to use it. If you get the most basic camera...
Hello guys & gals,
My old dear has decided to dust off her Canon AE-1. Now its her birthday at the end of the month and she's looking for some bits for it.
Ideally she wants a remote shutter release. But so far i've been unable to find one... at least in the UK.
Does anyone know of...
