Hey guys,

After my recent honeymoon trip, I found that I could have done with a little more than my 12-32mm kit lens for zooming into distant objects (physically couldn't move closer).

I don't want to spend the earth for a zoom lens so could people recommend me something for my GX80?

Panasonic 45-150 f/4.0-5.6 or the Olympus 40-150 f/4.0-5.6 would be a good affordable complement for the 12-32 you have.

The Panasonic has OIS and the build quality is a bit better than the Olympus, which is all plastic. Optically they are very close.
 
if it's in budget the oly pro zooms are great glass. the little upto 150 zoom is also amazing for the money-punches well above it's price tag.
 
Olympus 40-150 R is brilliant - cheap, sharp and weighs nothing.

But if you don’t need that much reach the Panny 35-100 f4 is the perfect accompaniment to the 12-32...

best it you give us your budget to play with :) You say you don't want to spend the earth, so we're talking within reasonably cheap territory then? As suggested by others the Oly 40-150 is a little cracker, it's really cheap even new - it feels like it too, not going to win any awards for build quality! But the lens is sharp, reliable, no slouch for the money. I had one for a bit, only got rid because I bought a Panasonic 100-300 mk1. That is the lens I would recommend if you can stretch a bit more and don't mind buying used. Tonnes of reach, I found it to be sharp throughout, despite what some say around online that it's not sharp at 300. I shot it loads at 300mm wide open [5.6] and was satisfied with the results. You can get them used for between £200 - £280, depending on condition. Thanks Keith, as a Yorkshireman the less I can spend the better but the price of that Olympus is great!

I'll drink to that as an Oirishman :beer::ROFLMAO:

It is a great little lens for the money, so light you'll barely notice it extra in the bag.
 
My travel lenses are the 12-40mm f2.8 and 40-150mm f4-5.6R and it’s all I need. The 40-150mm feels cheap and nasty but it’s very good optically. The cheap feeling is actually advantageous for holidays though as it’s so light you can forget you’re carrying it around with you. Pair this with your 12-32mm and you have two very lightweight travel lenses, pretty ideal (y)
 
The cheap Olympus 40-150 is a great lens and a bargain.
I don't have much call for a long lens but when I do it's light so it's with me and delivers.

You could also consider one of the superzooms if you're not too bothered about fast apertures and the final 2mm at the wide end
e.g. the Olympus 14-150mm f/4-5.6 there's a Tamron 14-150mm f/3.5-5.8 - never used either myself mind.
