I currently use wordpress and am looking to move to Zenfolio's £100 package.

My domain and wordpress website is hosted with 1&1. Now with Zenfolio, I still want use use my own domain (ie not *.zenfolio.com) but am confused about where the website will be hosted.

Do I still need to have my 1&1 hosting account or does it all transfer to Zenfolio

All you need is your own custom domain. The website will be hosted by Zenfolio. No need to pay for additional hosting.

When you have your domain you just go to settings on your Zenfolio page and direct your Zenfolio page to your domain.

The £100 package is good because you can get rid of all Zenfolio branding.

I don't think I've seen more than 10% off codes, but not sure.
 
Hmm, the more and more I play with Zenfolio, the more features I notice aren't there.

eg;
- Embed HTML into non non custom pages (ie call to action buttons)
- Tag cloud

I notice these features have been submitted as requests on their forum but nothing has happened yet.
 
I agree, there are some features that I'd love to see.

THe overall experience is good though. If you know what's not there and you can live without those features then Zenfolio is good. I still have 7 months left with Zenfolio, I'll decide then if I want to stay with them or go somewhere else.

Im after a company who allows me total control of my own printing plus incorporated digital downloads in their package ..

Do Zenfolio allow the customer to sell their own printed work themselves as well as digital downloads ... or do you have to allow them to sort printing ...
 
i did sign up with picture proof on their 30day trail but they dont do digital downloads ... so they are for he chop :)

Yup, Zenfolio let you do your own printing and you can also allow high res digital downloads, depending on the package you want i can get you approx 40% off
