They seem to be lower priced with similar specs to higher end (holding weight)

Are they worth the cash or will they not last long and specs listed on some sites?

I am talking around the £40 to £80 area.

I got a MTL9251B late last year and i've been impressed with the build quality. It set me back about £100 if i remember correctly

I ended up swapping the supplied 3 way pan head for a ball head though as i found it too fiddly to use!

ok thank you. i have a ball head already so i was looking at legs only really unless a deal was out there that took my fancy.

its these set that took my eye
MTL3261B

I have MTL3271B with MH1300-652 Series II ball head and am really pleased with them, I looked at some other (Higher end) tripods but the build quality looked about the same.

sounds like they fair up well really.

whats the advantage of the adjustable column rather than the vertical one? general use really

I got a MTL 9251B legs but have kept the 3 way pan tilt head and like it loads.
Nice built and the head works for me.

I have the same and its a good sturdy piece of kit. I'm also finding the 3 way head a bit fiddly, but then I'm new to working with a tripod so it could be that I just need time to get used to it.

looks like i may sway this way. Personally i prefer ball head. i had the frotto modo one but worked out the head wasn't changable so that put me off.
