Hi Guys,

Well it's still using a standard template, but my photo "blog" is live. The name took a while to come up with. I figured I enjoy showing my photos to others, and love the feedback. If you think about it, EgoPimp is a very appropriate name for a web site dedicated to showing off your work.

The RSS feed is

I am really only interested in sites which allow me to comment, as I find sharing crit does two things:

1: Let's me learn as I spend more time looking at an image to find out exactly what to say.

2: I presume it will with certain site owners, result in time being taken going over my own images.

I find it silly that a site shows its images off, without allowing feedback. Just my take though.

I did check another thread from a while back, and lots of you have failed to provide an area for comments...

My blog is poor really, and I only made it so I could have a play with wordpress, as everyone else was doing it. I mainly just put stuff up so my dad can see what I've been up to.

Anyway its here and the RSS
 
Mine is trash really Gary... haven't updated it in a while, I must do really. Maybe I will when I get my D700 in March... ;)

Just set mine up again today. RSS on there too.

Now I need to go and take some photos that I actually want to publish! What RSS reader are you using to subscribe to other peoples blogs?

FLOCK. (Thanks Foggy for the heads up)

It's a browser designed for all this RSS nonsense. Integrates with things like FLickr, Facebook and Myspace etc.

It is Fan-Bloody-Tastic.

I use Google Reader for RSS. That way if I check my subscriptions on my iPhone I don't have to go through them all over again on my computer back home.
 
I have a photoblog hosted by Shutterchance. It's updated very infrequently :) but you're welcome to visit. My Photoblog
 
Mine goes live 1st of Jan to replace my 365 - http://www.jimmylemon.co.uk/ - just testing it at the moment, hence the random pics and am going to be uploading a bit of a back catalogue to it in the next few days so I wouldn't subscribe to the RSS yet unless you wanna see a lot of pics :p

I currently use google reader for that exact reader, but I don't really want to look at photo blogs on the iPhone. Will take a look at flock now.

I am just thinking about when I return to work...I don't want to see duplicated.

I must try harder with mine next year I never keep it updated! its: payneplanet the thing that gets most hits at the minute is my Aquacam! which is in the aquarium section it's a live feed to my tropical aquarium, yes I'm sad but if you know how why not! :lol: just read the ops post again mine only has a comments section at the minute not one for the actual pics as yet!
 
I have just started having a play with wordpress too. My blog is here and the RSS feed should be here. I am starting to backfill articles while waiting to shoot new stuff;)
 
heh, this is brilliant, I've just subscribed to all the blogs listed on here, now I'll never get out to take my own photos! I'll be too busy looking at others! ;)
 
I have just updated my Zenfolio gallery to become my new blog site. If anyone fancies popping along to view, Zenfolio now permits comments on each image hence moving to there instead of my external script.

Ooooh, you're a good 'un you are :) Thanks Gary.

There's also an RSS subscribe thingy on the bottom of the page, but I am not sure how to post the link to that on here.:D
 
Looks like whatever the setting you have incorrect, it's breaking the links in the rss feed too, they don't link back to the blog properly. Looks to me like you have a link written somewhere without a http:// in front of it.

I will look into to it, The feed was generated with iweb, so i might have made a mess of it which is nothing new, I have had to frig everything since I am not hosting it on .mac

I will have a look later,

Given that I'm a web developer the design isn't great, but it's custom and doesn't look like too many blogs out there. It's got all my web work on it and my photography, as well as a wee blog.

It's basically a work in progress.

works fine in raw, just needs directing to a reader I think :thinking:
 
I think if the guys cut and paste your rss address into a reader it will work ..

I use a free multi link provider tab on my blog, have a read, simple stuff I think. Just stick up the button, fill in the address where applicable and it does the rest.

The reason your rss page goes to 404 is because the adress is written wrong btw, if you look at the final address in your browsers address bar, its repeating. :)
