Ok, so I joined here a couple of days ago and I've been watching topics with interest. I can already see some regular contributors. It got me thinking... some of us have our real names, I've seen Matt, Rog, George, Betty. But there are some strange ones too, like Toothy, The Music Man, Pirate, Badger.

If you have an alias on here, how did you choose it?

Mine is quite boring really, Peache was my maiden name. I'm also known as AyJayEl which is a 'spelling' of my initials. AJL Andrea Janice Lane (AKA Andy).

I wouldnt be so sure those are all their first/real names ;)

Came up with Jimmy Lemon about...erm...13 years ago now when and friend and I went 'online' for the first time and found a chat room, we needed a username. He said Jimmy, I said Lemon...so Jimmy Lemon was born....as it was my (or my dads) PC I sort of just kept the name, though I think me mate used James Orange for a while......so yeah, there ya go! (the _ in the middle was added because many places wouldnt/wont let you sign up with a space in your username)
 
My initials plus a number to make it more likely to be unique. It's the same id I use on the forums I'm a member of.
 
Cause I have a sawmill. Boring I know but somebody else was using Charlie!
 
years ago i wanted a name that was different so as to stick out... wasnt copyrighted... had the co.uk and .com domains available was short and pronouncable.. theres nothing in the dictionary that ticks all them boxes.. mainly the domain name ones... so i started making up short words and decided on KIPAX

unfortunatly i keep getting asked if i am a man city fan.. summat about an old ground and an old stand ...sigh..

Betty certainly aint my first name ;)

Its a college nickname, me and my mates were collectivley known as the "Sexy Betties". When I left college, Betty just stuck ;)
 
Named after a cat, Outlaw and used to be quite "naughty".

Outlaw is always taken, so started using the olde english OutLore in 1998 and stuck with it....

My first name is Dafydd, hence the "daf"

And my mates think im like the stiffmeister off the american pie movies, so they added the "meister" to the "daf",.....

And voala....... "dafmeister".
 
Mine as a character I made up at school when I was about 12. Started making music for myspace a couple of years back, couldn't think of a band name so dug Specialman out of the closet. Has stuck with me since because I remember it :)

digital covers far more than cameras.........you should see the devastation I can cause in the Admin panel......User accounts vanish with split second accuracy ;)

I'm Flashman because I flash when I take a picture..... er.... in a strictly photographic sense of course.... :whistling:

Got the nickname at school as it's part of my surname, use the 4 as it's often not taken on forums. Use the same one everywhere :)

I still think you should use that anagram of your name (Tasty Male) in your sig, mate!

The best anagram I can come up with for my real name (Keith Hartwell) is 'The Weak Thrill' :( ...... ah well!
