your job ??

Sales Manager, been in sales since 19 (now 36) plus some baby togging.

:D

Nothing that fun I'm afraid. I was going to say what it was and then changed my mind.

GIS (Geographical Information Systems) - It's a database but instead of being a list - everything is held geographically.

Think digital mapping but rather than just being visual - every bit of information is also held in there for every object - in this case it's the water network and wastewater network for Scotland.

I am currently a chat senior, I basically run a team of people that sit in the chat rooms chatting and moderating. Easy but boring.

Just been told that due to restructuring our position is being made redundant but they have 19 jobs to cover the 20 redundancies. It's either a sideways shift or a step down. :(

I hate three phase systems... They make my hair go funny! ;) Fortunately, I only work on LV stuff... HV systems give me the shudders! :gag:

I'm a 'Revenue Protection Engineer' for one of the major utilities... It essentially means that I spend my day chasing after people who fiddle with their electricity supplies and I do a lot of work for various police forces shutting down cannabis farms and the like.

It's generally good fun but very stressy... Lot's of stroppy people to deal with all day long!

When I'm not doing that, I'm also talking to our customers who are having trouble paying their bills to advise them on what we can do to help... Unfortunately, they don't always want help and prefer to stick their heads in the sand which makes life rather awkward for 'em in the long run.

And when I'm not doing that, I'm photographing weddings and selling the occasional landscape or portrait image which pays for new kit. :D

Si
