Your Favourite Vintage TV Advert

I wouldn't know where to find a video of it but my favourite old advert was the one where a speed cop pulls over a motorist for speeding and the motorist sings about being, I think, a Cadbury Fruit & Nut case. When he finishes the copper remarks "Your car is in better tune than you are Sir"

Oh so many, be it ads or those public information films. I love going through them on the tube and for some reason they all remind me of sitting in front of the open fire toasting bread, beans on toast and/or a good cup of tea and chocholate bars/biscuits. All after a good day/nights play.
The simple things in life def' give the most, I liked the ads but never felt the need to go buy anything.

TBH I cannot think of a single ad on TV that ever made me want to buy something, and some that made me NOT want to buy things (I was in Tesco this morning - couldn't possibly buy a Lynx/Axe product).

The worrying thing is I remember ALL these adds  :$

Is it age related? I'll be 48 this year and the ads from the 70's 80's seem to be so memorable.

I don't recognise any of the ads here from 1981 onward, having married in '81 and then not had a TV since. This makes for a sometimes slightly surreal experience, where my wife & I will still remember and repeat advert catchlines from our youth, but not have a clue about current advertising. It's also curious seeing billboards in major cities sometimes, where the references to a TV advert are the only clues to what the image means, and if you've never seen the TV advert then the billboard is meaningless.

Probably the best advert ever made, which makes it slightly ironic that it was never shown on commercial television.
