So, watcha got planned then? Are you going somewhere so awesome that we'll all be jealous or are you staying home. Wherever you go, don't forget your camera!

Been all over the place over the years, Africa, Asia, South America as well as around the Med and really enjoyed it but now that I've got some decent gear and having just had cardiac surgery I will probably stay in the UK this year. There are so many places that I would like to visit with my camera so I don't think that I'll have a problem finding somewhere.

Hoping to get back out to northern India for a few months later in the year, if I can persuade the mrs.
Off to the northern alps in February for a weeks riding too.

Don't normally have the time or money for holidays Bt luckily had something come up a few weeks ago so now am booked to spend a long weekend in Gatebil (Valer Track) this may and can't wait :)

I haven't even made any proper plans yet! I like to go abroad around once a month though, so I do need to get down and start planning something soon - the only reason I haven't is because I'm not sure what's happening with my work in the new year. I know I definitely want to go to Greenland in June/July and I'll probably be visiting friends in Holland around May. I'm also keen to visit Austria and Germany as I've never visited either of them. I'll probably return to Norway at some point, as I love it there but haven't explored the northern part of the country much; similarly, I'd like to spend some of the summer in southern Sweden as I've not explored the south of that country much yet. I'm also keen to visit Turkey in the autumn.

In some ways it is unfortunate I will be planning a few days at centreparcs rather than somewhere I really want to go like Vegas, south Carolina, India, Norway/Sweden. But, I have 2 smashing kids who will probably love it there and it is bound to be great.

I am going to vancouver island in october with a friend, we've been planning it for 2 years, the main reason is for bear watching but also to see some of vancouver island and am really looking forward to it.

I'll be doing what I have done for years, nothing. My eldest son is likely to be going on holiday with his girlfriend and my youngest son will probably have a few breaks with my wife at my in-laws caravan. So that leaves me and the cat at home. :)

Four weeks today I'll be in Rome:)
Hoping for a two week China Tour in April to see Beijing, Shanghai, Terracotta Army, some Pandas and a Yanghtzee cruise to see the Three Gorges dam.:):) Reckon I might take the camera on that trip ;)
And hopefully a foreign Grand Prix too. Maybe the Indian one.

I've booked for Austria again, 2 weeks in the summer. This will be my 6th year on the go. Hoping to get at least one but preferably two or more tandem paraglides in whilst I'm there after this years incredible experience.

Three weeks time and I'm off to The Gambia for two weeks including eight days going up river to see the non comercialised side of African life as well as the fantastic variety of bird species to test the new 120-300 lens on. :woot::banana:

Gambias Great for birdwatching I was up at the crack of Dawn when we were there

I've got three photography trips booked.
1. Iceland in feb/mar for aurora special (hopefully!)
2. Abruzzo in jun/jul for sunrise/sunset etc
3. Lofoten islands in mid july for midnight sun

Looking forward to all of them, but if we get the aurora in Iceland again I will be especially delighted

Blowing most of the holiday budget on the garden this/next year, and it`s a pretty big project too. Maybe squeeze in a city break somewhere like Prague for a week though later on in the year.

We just booked a 2 week holiday yesterday to Montana Pine resort in Olu Deniz:

Booked for June and we can't wait!

We went there a couple of years ago and it was lovely. We did have plans to go to San Diego in 2012 but have decided to go for a more relaxing option. 2011 was a rubbish year - my dad was diagnosed with Cancer in february and died in November. It's been really stressful so a couple of weeks in the sun sounds great. Also intend to visit Ephasus & Pamukkale and do some of the walking trails so there will be some good photo ops too. I will also be taking my mum away for a spa break at some point soon.

It is also mine and OH's ten year anniversary (not married - just how long we have been together) in september and we are planning a short break to Edinburgh for that. Will do lots of things there but particularly looking forward to seeing the panda's / visiting the Highland Wildlife park.

Nothing too exotic but definately looking forward to our hols!

Me too - 6th March heading out to Iceland on Aurora special with Tatra photography. First trip out there and can't wait :)

I read somewhere that its supposed to be the best in fifty years for the aurora and have a week booked off in February. My wife mentioned she would like to go to Iceland (cue the frozen food shop jokes) and we would both love to see the aurora

Guessing its less than guaranteed though, but appears we would have a chance so any tips such as locations would be most welcome please Marie

We are off from 11th to 19th Feb if that makes any difference although not sure we could afford that long there, might have to be just a few days

Cheers
Rich

5 1/2 weeks in New England Sept/Oct but we are getting married half way through the trip at Marshall Point Lighthouse.

flights already booked - Aer Lingus Business Class return

I'm out the week before you with same company :D
Its a shame we're not on the same week, could have a TP mini meet

I went with them in March this year, had some fantastic aurora displays. Very very cold though, take your thermals.

Congratulations - and enjoy your fancy flights

Cuba in febuary, only taking my 50mm 1.4 an my 17-40 f/4 that will be ok i hope and my 7d ofcourse

Haven't really thought about it yet, and it depends how the finances look. I lived in Hong Kong in the 1970s and I'd like to go back to SE Asia, but Africa keeps pulling me back too. My kids still live in SA, and most of my friends are there.

I've flown business class often enough if the client is paying for it, but it's too expensive for my personal travel. I don't really care what I eat on planes, and I usually sleep most of the way on international flights, so it's not worth it for me anyway.

Scotland in May, Norfolk Broads on a boat in June and Crete in August, all that with a new baby expected in March! Should be an interesting year for holidays! :)

Five weeks off March-April and two trips somewhere in the world as yet undecided.

Then November - 3 weeks in New Zealand in a campervan. Already booked.

Well have 2 trips to Wales booked again this year to shoot the lovely Models on location, also thinking Portugal for some shooting in the sun, maybe even a few times if all goes to plan :) and maybe else where as well :)

well now the wife has gone and the silly thing and got pregnant (i believe she used rohypnol on me) the only plans we currently have is a annual run to the nurburgring on the brighter side she has already said she won't be coming so another lads weekend away result .

Camping in May up the West coast of Scotland, Gran canaries in July, finances depending New York in Sept and skiing in Italy/Austria ( will be mmy 1st time and cant wait).

I am hoping to do a week with my friend Jill in Oct half term - maybe Turkey again as I loved it last year and a week in the summer with my b.f in Greece :)

Ohh and some weekends away if we can :)

Spain 2 weeks in august to dads villa only have to pay for flights so makes it a cheap holiday when there is 4 of you. To be honest its not in the main tourist area and is in a nice village/small town. Good weather thou normally

Rome next month for a few days with the daughter and then Cuba in May for 2 weeks... Germany in august for a week. and then 2 weeks winter sun to be confirmed..that is us so far.. oh and a spa weekend end away this coming weekend.

Can you recommend many good photo places in other parts of sweden you've been to?
We've just moved to gothenburg and will be spending this year exploring Sweden (and maybe the Swedish world rally!)! Need a wide lens urgently though!

Just for a change, we'll be off to Crete for a couple of weeks in early June. As usual, we'll be splitting the weeks and spending one near Chania and the other in Aghia Galini, maybe even have a couple of nights at Elaphonisi.
Depending on finances and holidays, we may try to get away for a few nights again - maybe Ediburgh again or possibly elsewhere.

One of the best meals I have had in Africa was cow foot soup in some dodgy booze den in Banjul. Dakar is worth a side trip.

Home to Toronto in April, with a bit of luck I will get to see some hockey. I have the Stan countries planned for the fall and will continue on to India. I hope to get some good pics of Jingle Trucks. Would like to continue on back to SE Asia after India but I will have to see what I can afford when the Olympics are over.

So far we are off to Edinburgh in a few weeks thanks to the wife winning 1st prize at work (something to do with commitment to the job) also off somewhere in may for a week for some sun after that is unknown.
