I'm considering swapping out my 24-105 for a 35mm prime and a 100mm macro. The lure of prime's is getting to me. That'll teach me to buy an 85mm last year.
 
My shopping list for this year is a Canon 1Ds MkII and Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 lens. Unless I happen to come in to a lot of money, that is what I realistically aim to buy from working over summer.

Nikon 85m f/1.8 (for portraiture)
Strobist stuff (brollies, softboxes etc)

Another D2x/xs (because I love 'em)

Will also be looking at something quirky like a 10.5mm fisheye but that's something that'll be a total whim buy....
 
Broke after buying a 300mm f2.8, might upgrade my 20D and/or get a 17-55mm f2.8 or 17-40mm f4 for landscapes, wouldn't mind a 500mm f4 if anyone willing to give me the money :D , the years only a few day old, will see what happens

Only one item on my list for this year - after all I can only afford one! After a lot of research I've now got my eyes set on the Sigma 150-500mm OS lens for my Nikon. Deadline of May to get it before I go on holiday.
 
My to buy list:

1.4x TC
possible 2x TC for the poor shot better than no shot moments.
possible new monopod if I feel my cheapo Jessops one isn't up to the job!

Log cabin to make studio in garden. Then a log burner to warm it brrrr, seriously though a studio at home would be a dream.
 
Just bought a 50D this week, next on list is a 100-400 L, not sure whether to keep the 70-200 F4 L though.

Im happy with my 40D for now so a new camera will have to wait till the year after. :)
 
Looks like the 16-105 is off the list as it's been sold :D

Sigma 10-20mm and a 'kit lens replacement' such as the 17-50mm Tamron are my planned purchases this year :p No doubt this will change again. All depends what I can find the best deal on.
 
Id like to pick up a decent flash and maybe some backdrops.
 
If Nikon release a 35 1.4 then I will be getting that (as long as its not silly price)
 
Macro lens of some kind - probably 90mm Tamron - and off camera flash for macro stuff. Would also like Nikon 70-300mm AF-S VR lens but my funds probably won't stretch that far.
 
I've already bought the 18-105 VR lens and would like to buy the 70-300 VR, 105 VR macro, and finally a 50mm 1.8

After several years of buying and selling, I've steadily built up the kit that I've wanted - top quality camera body, super wide, mid range, telephoto and flash. Only thing left is to replace my Sigma 24-70 with either a Nikon 24-70 F2.8 or Nikon 28-70 F2.8, and then I can finally start spending my annual bonus on something else other than camera gear, which will please my wife! :lol:

just bought a 5d mark 2 and 17-40 f/4L which ill be paying for for the next year! :)

if by some minor miracle i pay it off sooner id love to get a 100-400.
 
if Nikon finally release a new version of the 85 f1.4 then that'll be on there, otherwise its going to be a fairly dull year on the kit buying front
