Hi
Been looking for canon flash for my 1dmk11n
580ex would be nice. But a bit on the pricey side

Does anyone have any views on the youngnuo flash
Quite a bit cheaper but are they any good???

I've got a Yongnuo yn-560 II which I use on my D200 and it's working very well. Only works Manual, but I'm quite happy with that as it helps me learn more. It's well built so should take a bit of normal wear and tear quite easily. Battery life is quite high though; I got 300 shots out of one set of Duracell batteries.

Another happy 560-II owner - I trigger it either using the built in optical trigger, or mounted on a radio trigger, lots of light, easy to control, fast recharge

Hi guys
Thanks for info, thinking about it a bit more I might just hang on and save for a canon
Think I'd prefer auto

Thanks again guys

Chris

I have the YN - 468 works E-ttl and manual,

Doesnt have quite the quide no. of the 560 but very reliable :)

Another big plus for yongnuo. Great gear for silly cheap money. The 560 ex 2 is as well built as the Canon units with some nice features. Really recommend if your after a fully manual flash

How about the yongnuo 568?

I was holding out for a 568 but since reading this post ive now decided for my first flash to go with the the 560-II after reading this post. just hope I don't live to regret it LOL. but its over half the price & with it being a manual flash will make me learn more I hope..

Don't forget they have the new 560iii which have built in receivers. Really handy for off camera flash.

Thanks for all info, think I'm going to hold out for a nice secondhad canon
580
