You'll never walk alone ...

Aye last time Everton were on an open top bus was when the driver took a wrong turn and hit a low bridge.

Come on, that joke was funny the first time I heard it, but it's a bit long in the tooth now.
BTW, the first time I heard it was the 86 cup final.........remember it ?

I was there. It was my first FA Cup final. And I was there for '89 too.

fantastic result :)

But I have grave concerns about the ref. Was it me or did he seem to favour Milan a fair bit? And 2:45 of added time when it should have been at least 3 + half a minute for the substitution.

Well I am gutted. CAnt type buyt I have forr words:

You#ll nver walk alone - We werent beateten by a better side tonight but luc had allot to do with it.
We should have left masher on ad taken off Xabi - but too late now.

ANyhow YNWA and goodnight.

Quoted for re-reading tomorrow :D

lol, i feel for you mate but that post is priceless :D

Well not as good a game as the last one, and not just for the result. :( ;) I don't know about the 3rd and 4th place playoff ;) as I was unable to watch it.

I too think the referee slightly favoured Milan, but we lost, so who cares, it's over.

There seemed to be no passion or urgency in the Liverpool team, even though I think we slightly shaded the play. Milan had the chances and took them, so well done to them.

We did well to get to the final, after an otherwise disappointing season. If the boss buys well in the off season, next season should hopefully be better. :)

Liverpool need a proper goalscorer. They don't have anyone deadly upfront that will hit home 9/10 times.

Ha ha - Classic post.
Think the continental lager I was on last night went down a little too well.
I do remember getting in a cab and refusing to get out until he told me Kenny Dalglish was the best number 7 ever to have played for Liverpool.

Still gutted about the result, but fairplay to Milan and now looking forward hugely to next season.

Hope I didn't reap carnage over other threads as well !!

This one was discussed a lot whilst sat on the departures lounge floor in Athens this morning. I say departures lounge, more like rigid marquee which could hold 800 people at the most. There probably were 4,000 waiting for flights back home which kept being delayed without anyone being informed.

Meanwhile the Milan fans were in the real terminal with shops, restaurants & DUTY FREE !!! Left Manchester at 03:50 on Wednesday morning and back home at 12:00 on Thursday morning with probably 6 hours sleep :bonk:

A lot of the discussions this morning were on who's going and who's coming. Hopefully Morten Gamst Pederson from Blackburn on the left wing, Dani Alves from Sevilla for both right back/wing. Either David Villa or Fernando Torres up front with Crouch, Kuyt & Voronin. This summer will deffo/hopefully see the back of Dudek, Fowler, Zenden, Gonzales, Bellamy & poss Sissoko (with the Monster Masch playing superb)

Best bit of the day was getting the metro to the ground during rush hour and the locals started to join in with the songs or clapping along. Wonderful people who make great kebabs

I don't think UEFA would take kindly to goalkeepers and defenders being shot to get a goal :p

To the winners, the spoils. ;) :D

I think there could be a mass exodus from Liverpool, but unless the boss gets a huge amount of money, and/or also gets some money for the players he lets go, then we could be left with a squad that's a bit thin. I think Chel$ki's problems in central defense, and their lack of replacements (yes, with all that money;) ) cost them the league.
