In the address bar, at the right, just click the reload icon! :D

I thought it was an abstract title for a photo...

Some cannot be skipped, most you can skip after about 5 seconds.
More annying are the ones some insert part way through, often it just goes black for a few seconds.

I don't think they've taken away the skip button. The skip button appears a few seconds into long ads. The unskippable ads are only a few seconds long anyway.

Login, you don't get the stupid ads then.

Ad Block +

And like someone said, click another vid and press back/ refresh. It will disappear.

My main gripe is the adverts are always never related to stuff I like. For example, I will be listening to a whole album whilst editing, and then some pop crap or silly music food advert will play. Utter balls, completely kills it all.

Not an issue when I am at home and can stick some Vinly on. Sometimes it is handy having YouTube up rather than just playing MP3s. Small gripe really, but the ads are pants.

The ads are what pays a lot of us youtubers. But yes some are annoying!

The YouTubers can decide if they want to put ads on their videos, and whether they implement the Skip button. I believe the ones that you can't skip will earn them more money but you risk the chance of viewers just click away soon as they see an ad. Take IGN's videos, some of them are just news clips which can be 45 seconds long and there is a 30 seconds ad in front of it that you can't skip. You are gambling whether the viewer will willing to wait that long.

You can click back and click it again, sometimes it plays it without an ad, sometimes it plays a different one, but then it's a 30second ad, I have at times click back and forth like 5 times before I got the video with no ad but then by that point I must have wasted 25 seconds doing that….so I might as well wait.

/I think that's how it works….
