A superficially attractive Canon 6D and 24-105 on ebay described as "New other", but then it says:

BRAND NEW ITEM UNFORTUNATELY I DROPPED THE LENS DUE TO THE EXCITEMENT AND IT DID BREAK THE GLASS PART AT THE END LENS DOES STILL WORK BUT THE GLASS PART HAS BROKEN OFF COULD EASILY BE FIXED BACK ON IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING

lol i think the lens was on the camera at the time the mounts out of shape by the looks of it some poor sod is going to take a hit on it

They have always been there it's just that the Internet provides a platform for them to appear with more visual frequency and from a wider area.
 
Looking at the 6D box and the way it's been torn open with total disregard for the contents i can believe his explanation of how the lens got trashed.
I'll give him..
1/10 for honesty and 11/10 for stupidity :rolleyes:

The only saving grace.......It's not a Nikon
 
Well ... On the plus side, it is a "make an offer" listing. If you fancy a punt he might accept a silly price and you might end up with a fully functioning 6D body. Also, was the lens fitted with a UV filter? Can't see from the pics. Might just be that which has broken!!!

Wonder if he'd consider £10 a fair offer? ...
 
Oh dear ... Didn't look that closely. That's one dead lens!!! Must have had a mighty knock to end up like that! Still, ..... A bargain at the price ... Might still offer him a tenner and see what he says ....... :exit:
 
If you look closely the extender tube is also cracked. What did he drop it onto and from what height?

Also why is he selling the body? What is wrong with that?

I'm tempted to offer £50 for spares but he seems the kind of guy who thinks a bit of superglue will fix anything!

what you do in this circumstance is hire an idenitical lens and swap it over claiming it was the hire lens that got trashed. If the hire company notice that the serial number is different you make a tremendous fuss and accuse them of lying ;) (course before pulling this kind of s*** it is first necessarry to move to pembrokeshire :lol: )

either that or you glue it back together and sell it on ebay using a stock picture and saying exc+ condition , only minor signs of wear and tear
