You Couldn't Make It Up.

"Two F15 fighter jets pursued the plane, which crashed in Puget Sound. The man is not believed to have survived." ....Hmmmm

In this day and age of high security and vetting, it still only takes one determined person. Fortunately, depite the loss of the plane and 'pilot', no other loss of life or damage.

Astounding.

I've been talking on WhatsApp with a Uni friend who lives on Whidbey Island in the Sound, and local news is reporting that this guy seems to have had undiagnosed mental issues, and this was a suicide from the get go.

The ditching was just that, a ditching, witnessed by many and the two accompanying military aircraft took no intervening action.

Difficult to pick up mental issues during vetting (in many cases), and as an airport employee security privileges were probably already in place rather than cirumvented.

There's always more than an initial headline.

He did show some decent flying skills though!!!

You will never stop this sort of thing. It could be a long term issue but any of us could snap at any moment!
