Getting home from work earlier today - I managed to catch part of a TV programme on ITV called 'The Chase'.

For those of you who don't watch it - I wont bore you with the gory details. But essentially a 'team', (todays lot didn't quite fall into that description), works together to win money by answering questions against a general knowledge 'expert' - the Chaser.

Anyhoo, the last contestant today decided that the team should be chasing a target of £2000 less than the other three had amassed....for the privilege of him having to answer one less question to get through to the final 'answer-off'. As he could see the opportunity of a share in £22000 - he, I guess, was entitled to think that way.

The reaction and look of utter contempt from the other three contestants was quite funny - I am sure, had it been me in their positions, I would have been even less impressed.

The end of this sorry tale is that...........I missed the end of the bloody programme.

So any of you who can put me out of my misery - I'd love to know whether or not this guy who put himself above others actually got a share in the prize?

They won the 22k most answers from the guy with the -2k.
 
I was gonna say about that. I love The Chase, and indeed, the bloke who took the -2k prize was the one who answered the most questions in the final chase - if it wasn't for him then they would have lost out.
Actually, while we are on about the same episode (which, incidentally was a repeat) - that girl, cor, wasn't she such a cold and miserable moo?! Absolutely straight laced - I'm sure she must be a bag of laughs in gatherings. I've seen more emotions on a Vulcan.

I watched it as well and the guy from Scotland actualy played a good tactfull game. As for the girl, the missus thought she had a wig on :shrug: That might be the case :shrug: and she could be having or had chemotherapy which would account for her not smiling as much as we would expect.

Not wishing to correct you - but tactical is the right word - tactful he certainly wasn't judging by the other contestants faces:lol::lol::lol::lol:
