Last week I made the effort to set up an account with Loxley up near Glasgow.

Had a nice lady (Jac) call from customer services to explain how to use all their software etc but I was a bit busy with 2 babies and feeding so said would call her back.

Which I did, she went though everything, including their colour correction services.. (free) and suggested I send a mixed batch of 5 photos with no colour correction and the same 5 allowing them to colour correct and charge to their lab account (effectively a free sample)

So yesterday about 1pm, I got round to doing it and sent the files electronically...

12.15 pm today knock on the door from the Postie. 2 parcels from Loxley.

I am pretty impressed with

Quality of prints
Awesome Customer Service.

Would certainly recommend them.

Fatherhood must be playing tricks with your mind :cuckoo: ... I think that is the first time I have ever heard you say you are happy with any service, but "pretty impressed" - that is something else!

I seriously cannot fault them and trust me I was looking to...

OK who are you? and what have you done with Lynton?

:p

I cannot say, but just "assume" duck tape and lots of clingfilm was used to keep him very quiet...

Seriously, I was expecting a tuesday delivery given international order (well it crossed Hadrian's wall!)

I dunno but i called NFU today and a suspiciously nice and efficient man dealt with my enquiry (usually my opinion is that that acronym stands for no 'kin use)- maybe the whole staff have been abducted by the syrupoffiggis and replaced with clones ?

Hi

Did you have to pay the P&P for these test prints or was that free also?

I have been dealing with Loxleys at the moment too and have to say there service is great!

I want a 60x40 acrylic box frame but was worried about colours looking right so gave them a call before I ordered to see what would be the best way for me to be able to check. They told me to place the order and make a comment asking for a test print of colour and density.

I did just that yesterday and this morning I have a test print and a section from a 60x40" to show how it would look. I'm very pleased with the test prints and cannot wait to get my box frame!! :D

Just got my free test prints back and the quality us top notch  I think I'm quite lucky as well in that my monitor isn't calibrated but the prints without colour correction look (to me) identical to what I'm seeing on screen when editing

No worries! Cheers for the reply :)

Yeah, I thought the colour corrected ones looked to have a slight green cast to be honest. I much preferred the uncorrected ones
