Hello all, anno that some of your ave seen me around the boards, and I am now thoroughly addicted to this forum and I am learning a lot.

Anyway, I am super-duper new to this DSLR lark, and I am doing this professional photography diploma, and was wondering if any of you pro yorkshire 'togs take amatures for like voluntary work-experience?

All I'm wanting is a couple of hours a month [a week/every couple of week? I also work full-time] to help assist on photoshoots or in the studio etc....just for some hands-on experience.

Also, Barnsley girl here, I was wondering where people's favourite places to shoot in yorkshire are? Preferably south.

If anyone's near-by and wants to give me a shout, PM me, and maybe we can meet in the pub! [Diet coke for me, even tho I'm old enough] and have a good 'togs chat!

Nowhere near Yorkshire - but up there for a few days starting Thursday through to Sunday morning. Camping and LOTS of landscape photography. Staying near Settle if you're interested in a natter?

Awww Hi Si, its a shame I cant get up near Settle whilst your there...grrr....Well....not really gr...I'm off to Ireland! Bit far to come :)

:lol: understand every word on that site, I'm a Lincs Lass born and bred but my father was a Yorkshire man, he moved to Lincs when the pits closed and he became a steelman.
My partner is also a Yorkshire man, from Barnsley! were his parents still live, I was there yesterday! :thumbs:

hey Adele, adoptive yorkshire here - originally a proper northerner :) now living near leeds
just getting back into photography, so i'd probably have to be your assistant and you can teach me :D

next weekend hectic for me - besides the rugby is on :)
if anyone is work shy could always try hook up for liquid lunch - just dont tell the boss :p

p.s. if you can recommend any good scenic sites for a first outing with new hardware i'd be interested
easy to get to and not too far away - mind gone blank ... how do i tell the difference..

Well I'm away from Sunday to Friday, and busy next weekend. I mainly work most weekends as I work in retail, so it'd have to be a sunday for me...that any good for anyone?

Good scenic sites....Oh....Erm....Leeds Way? I went taking some in Garforth, but other than that, Wintersett and Newmillerdam depends how far you're willing to travel.

Bradford here... not that I love the place... an noone I know talks like out of Rita, Sue and Bob Too either.
Any meets I can possibly go to have to be weekend and reachable by public transport.
