Does anyone know if you can get an external battery pack for the YONGNUO YN24EX E-TTL Macro Flash Speedlite :thinking: ;)

Would also like to know... Have googled but not found a thing... Even their website doesn't list one
 
Emailed YongNuo support to ask this a week ago but didn't get an answer. Too bad they also don't bother to mention the specifications of an external power supply anywhere.
The YN5200 Speedlite Powerbank would seem interesting but the YN24EX is not listed as a compatible device.
 
I'm looking to make a DIY battery pack, lots of YouTube videos on how to make them
 
You better be careful. This guy destroyed his YN24EX twice with a Godox PB960 Portable Extended Flash Power Battery Pack.
 
The YN5200 should be fine.
My question: "Can you tell me which power bank is suited as an external power supply for the YN24EX Macro Flash?"
Thje answer from service@hyongnuo.com: "Yes, of course, please kindly find our YN5200 speedlite power bank is suitable for YN24EX macro flash, thanks for your attention."
 
Strange the godox caused that, it is a lower mAh and says its suitable for the same canon flashes....
Yongnuo don't list their power bank as suitable for the twin flash... But I guess it is
 
I received my YN5200 yesterday and tried it with the YN24EX to make a few photostacks.
Made 3 stacks (80, 101, 116 photo's) with about a 7 second interval between the flashes.
So far it works great.
 
Where did you get yours from Peter and if you don't mind me asking what did you pay ?

Are you still happy with it and where did you get it from?
 
Just received the yn5200 and it is currently charging. I paid £79 from eBay. Appears well made and looking forward to trying it out.
