Does anyone have one of these or maybe used one? Don't have much call for flash so I was looking for a cheaper alternative to the Nikon models.

I have the cannon version.

Very very nice flash, much better than the cheap jessops one I also own!!

Recycle time is quick and ttl metering works perfectly for me.

I really like the ability too reduce the power to 1/125 :D

Only complaint is that the buttons are a bit squishy but that's not really an issue once you get used to it :D

Very much recommended especially at it's price point!!!

Ps also comes with a nice pouch, not a major selling point but I like it :)

Thanks for replying Ben, sounds like it will do all I need and good to know you rate it!

I got one in Nikon version.

I went for it due to price and me only using it occasionally.

First impressions are good. Build quality seems fine, the movement of the lensy bit is nice and solid and doesn't feel like its going to snap off in your hand.

TTL works fine with my D80 and I like the slave modes.

I cant compare to a nikon flash as i've not used one but for me this one seems fine.

I don't use flash that often but we are getting married in Sept and wanted a flash for the evening do so my son can get some candid shots. Maybe later I will invest in a decent nikon one but I would rather get decent glass and another better body first. The Yongnuo sounds like it may fill the gap for now.

Hello I have the youngnuo 565 ex canon fit but they do it for nikon. After a long look at reviews i needed something without the big price tag ive used this for 12 months now. I used it at parties and havent had a problem ever. Id say this be a great alternative to nikons own. Dave. exhttp://m.youtube.com/watch?v=yc3-8ZpBaXg
