Anyone used the above combination? I've read a few reports that there are some compatibility issues such as not supporting wakeup on the SB600. I am not overly concerned about wakeup so if that is the only issue I'll happily get a set, unless there are better options.

I'm really only looking for remote flash triggering and don't need full ttl, it would be nice if it will also trigger the camera remotely too.

Mine trigger the camera, I don't have the combination you have, I have the yongnuo 560III flashgun which has an inbuilt rf 602/603, there is different cable's for triggering the shutter so make sure you get the ones for you specific camera model, no idea on the ttl capability.
 
I use 603's on studio lights and sb600, works fine. Won't do TTL but I'd say excellent triggers for the money
 
I have the RF603's and an SB600 and they work fine together. As you have said the 603 won't wake up the SB600 but if you set the SB600 not to sleep then it negates the issue.
 
New triggers from Yongnuo YN622 ITTL for Nikon that will use ITTL and HSS are now available.
