Hi all,

I'm after some advice and hopefully a solution to my current issues. I've got two flash guns (a Canon 580EXII and a Yongnuo 600EX-RT).
When I connect my Canon flash to a Pocket Wizard TT5 it works find when I've got the TT1 on my hotshoe.
However if I connect the Yongnuo it still allows me to play with the menu but it doesn't fire the flash.
I have a mini work around of using a sync cable but its not really what I bought the PW kit for.

Any suggestions or should I maybe start looking at a different trigger set up?

Thanks in advance too.

Short answer, sell the PW kit and 580EXii, get another YNRX-RT, preferably with a YN E3-RT controller unit. That's what I've done and it's a sweet system.

Unless you need the PW's unique features (eg optimised HSS and a couple of other things) the newer options are better, and very affordable. Only a few years ago, PW was the pioneering market leader with some cool technology, but having shot themselves in the foot several times too often, they're now struggling to survive :(

ps It sounds like a compatibility issue between the PW and YN units. PW may have a firmware download for this, but I'd be surprised.

I've tried updating the firmware on everything I can (Flash and PW units) and everything on the Googlewerb says it should work. Yeah I think it may be an option. At the moment its workable but looks messy with cables

Drop PW an email. I've always found their customer service to be excellent.
