Yongnuo 560tx & RF602/3

So I have a Yongnuo 560Tx and two 560vi guns which all work great but I'm wanting to also fire an old Interfit colour photo 300i studio head also. I could use the built in slave but I'd rather use a trigger via the sync lead so it's more reliable.

I see the Yongnuo RF602 and RF603 trigger is compatible with the 560tx

Is it as easy making sure they're on the same channel and off you go?? Also, I see some RF602/3 are dedicated to Canon or Nikon. For what I'm doing, using a non dedicated 560tx on my Pentax, does it make a difference if I use a Canon or Nikon trigger??

One potential problem is the trigger voltage of the old interfit studio flash may be too high and fry the electronics of the wireless trigger which are only rated up to 12v.

Yeah, I was wondering about that. I was thinking that if I got a RF602 for less than a tenner and it got killed then it wouldn't be any great shakes and my 560Tx would be safe!
