hmm, they delivered something to me yesterday (according to the card through the door) and they kindly left it in the porch.

Only problem is, we don't have a porch

oh, and distance from front door to public path is approx 8 ft.

Guess what? Nothing nowhere!!!

Time to find the grumpy hat and explain incompetence......

What is really ironic though is no idea of what could be arriving as twins are 1 sat week and friends from a way away could be sending all sorts of stuff..

I've never had a problem with Yodel myself, though I did have a rather challenging visit from a postie a while back.

*nb I'm severely disabled & bedbound*

Now don't get me wrong my posties are brilliant but this one, well lets just say I have no clue how he got or keeps the job.

Please note his replies where in a slow drawl, so slow that were he a car it would take 3 miles for him to stop after seeing a red light!

Buzzer rings, I pick up handset and tell him to come in when I buzz to open the door, 5 mins later he still hasn't come in. (there's a big notice on the door telling visitors to come in when buzzed in)
I have to resort to shouting to tell him I cant come to the door he will have to come in. maybe he thought the voice from the box on the wall was one of the ones in his head?

He has a signed for package so asks me to print my name, I tell him I cant so he offers to fill it in for me and then.... wait for it... he asks me what my name is.. I tell him there's a huge clue on the address label that's on the parcel.
He then tells me I should "keep up your hopes... think of Christopher reeve", I reply I don't think he's cause for much hope.. "whys that" comes the reply.. Me - well he's f****** dead for starters mate!!

He then goes to leave, WITH the parcel he came in to deliver, I had to actually tell him he was supposed to leave it.

To cap it all he walks across my front garden to the patio door and rings the buzzer there..
"is this number X?" Me-no its number XX, "oh I think I just saw you," Me - you only think you just saw me?, "oh yeah I did, thanks".

I was really struggling to not laugh, and slightly worried they are letting him drive!

Under the circumstances I think you did very well coping with the incompetent and his comments were those of a man who should engage his brain before opening his mouth in future.

Its amazing how even in your circumstances you can still have a laugh at things and post here!

No Body can begin to understand what it is like to be in your situation - after spinal surgery and some times before due to very aggressive spells of intense back pain I needed to take morphine and was bed ridden - the longest stint was 4 weeks and it is my idea of hell on earth....

You have my respect!

They left me a parcel on Tuesday. First I knew of it was when they sent me an email that night saying it had been delivered. I eventually found it the next day in the garden, **** wet through. They have also put stuff in my wheelie bin, again leaving me to find it, and once left a card with a single vertical line in pen where it's supposed to say where they left it.

I've had great service from Yodel, I had a parcel delivered on Saturday morning that was down for delivery for today. The lady who delivered it said she was just on her way home and saw our address and as she lives close by she thought she'd see if we were in and if not deliver it on her way to work today (Monday). We've never had a parcel delivered late and the only time we knew we'd be out we left a note on the door and it was dropped off at the neighbours as requested.

We get emails from Yodel telling us they've collected a parcel and give us an estimated delivery day, then we get another email to confirm the parcel is out for delivery and usually an estimated 1 hour slot that it will arrive. The latest the delivery has been made is 35 minutes into the stated hour and it's normally within the first 10 minutes of the stated hour.
