Found this forum by chance, must be my lucky day. It looks like I will have fun here.
I'm Nicky, currently 39 years old (and counting). Moved to the UK from the Netherlands in October 2008.
I've been taking photos for as long as I can remember (first, very bad, photo I made at 4 years old, you see), but got serious about 3 years ago now. My favourite objects: cars (mostly Aston Martin) and concerts, but the cats are quite often unwilling models as well. Obviously I also like to go on trips and take photos then, like the castle I went to see just yesterday for the very purpose of practicing photography.
My gear at the moment: a Kodak Z740 Zoom which I absolutely love and an Olympus E-500 with some extra lenses (the 'standard' 18-45, a Sigma 105 and a Sigma 55-200). And then there's the other fun stuff like a monopod, a tripod, a grey card, reflector screens, filters, the usual...
What I don't have yet are external flashes, so they are at the top of my wish list. I might be looking for info right here on these boards soon.
Other hobbies (if you're interested at all): reading, (obviously) cars, music, films.
Now, I'll just get off the soap box and make room for someone else.
