Year anniversary? :( HELP!

Given the section this is posted in, how about some sauteed UV filters and a boiled lens?

Does she like steak?

Easy to cook with some fried onions and home made chips.

A rocket salad? Maybe ciabatta with grilled mozzarella?..I'd go salad. Maybe follow with lemon or mango sorbet?? Or just get her very drunk on wine so she doesn't really remember what the food was like?? ;)

Good idea actually, if you're not good in the kitchen you'll want to concentrate on cooking the main dish - JP's and salad are fire and forget things you won't have to worry about as you're frying up the chicken.

well I want to put something side the chicken, I was going to do something with pasta, She loves her pasta like.

Then take her to an Italian restaurant? :p

Home made fettuccine pasta carbonara will go down a treat, spot of garlic bread and then a nice chocolate based desert of some kind :D

get down to the chippy at irlam...samos
the choice is sub...lime

i favour tikka chicken...turmeric rice...garlic chutney...and some nan breads
lager to wash it down
and some mouth freshener for the sweet...;)

Garlic bread good idea ^_^ she loves that stuff, What can i put with pasta you recon?

That would go very well with pasta!
Get some Tagliatelle, boil in salted water plus a slosh of olive oil (stops it sticking) serve with a good grind of black pepper and sprinkle with parmasan.

Fish n Chip with a side dish of peas.

Just a decent serving of pasta, the carbonara uses parmesan cheese and large chunks of ham with a nice creamy sauce.

If you order it in a restaurant it comes with bread and that is it.

:)

Yeh! But it's fried rice dish tonight!
Char Sui pork with onions, mushrooms, peas and sweetcorn! Yummy!

not wine but sparkling rose [romantic] or throw the boat out with ... champers

roses are too big, so a small orchid on the table - to the side so you can exchange smoldering gazes

chocolate to finish - and the roses ..? strewn in the boudoir of course !

Just stir a little pesto through it and maybe some pine nuts, it should compliement the main dish then. Add a nice green salad, some warmed ciabata and a couple of bottles of pinot grigio and you're sorted.

Edit - Instead of pasta, try some gnocci

Hang on - we're talking simple cooking here.

Cook some tagliatelle as above, drain and return to the pan and add some Boursin light soft cheese with garlic and herbs. Serve with a green salad (you can get pre-prepared bags in the supermarket) and garlic bread. Grind some black pepper over the top at the table to taste.

Serve with wine, preferably red, but whatever is her taste.

Really quick meal, simple to do, yet not so complicated she'll think your a great cook and can do all the cooking in future ;)

Also, only one saucepan to wash up.

You want simple?

It's almost pasta.

1. Pick up phone.
2. Dial decent restaurant.
3. Arrange cab.
4. Eat and pay (don't forget the tip...)
5. Leave all the washing up and cooking smells behind and go home.
6. Collect your reward!

That dish would work with tagliatelle, bottle of rose and some strawberrys. Hope evening goes well for you :)
