Evening all,

I bought one of these earlier in the year and it was working fine and dandy. Over the past month I noticed that it was no longer (or at least intermittent) being picked up by my Mac Book Pro. (Sierra) I've tried a number of things including removal of the software, a disk utility check, several reboots etc ..

I sent the device back to Wex and they say there is no issue with the hardware. They are going to send this on to XRite for their opinion.

Anyone out there using the XRite i1Display with a Mac Book using Sierra ...

Any tips on getting it recognized again?

cheers,

Nigel

Just updated the profile on mr rMBP. Had a message sayingthere was an update available ( 1.6.7) ran that and it updated fine. Profiled fine as well no problems

I would recommend ditching the software that comes with your device and installing DisplayCal

I have two mac screens and have never been able to get them looking the same (I use Spyder 5) and every time I do a calibration it's different.

DisplayCal takes a lot longer to run as it runs through around 450 patches (2.5 hours per screen), but my colours have never been so acurate and both screens are identical.

Until recently I also had two iMacs. Both calibrated using the X-Rite software and both matched , despite one being 6 years old and the other 6 months . I have used other calibration software including Colour Eyes Display Pro which uses the same Argyll CMS software as Display Pro, but found it didn't give a significantly better calibration

Afraid not. There are lots of options, many of which I have no idea what they do.
I just followed the QuickStart guide here and basically left all the options as default.

You should see a message apear in the top right telling you that the i1 has a been connected via USB. This may be new with the latest updated as I dont remember seeing it before
