I can't find an SE which I'm sure I've heard mentioned somewhere

is the xt the good one

the 1200ws is about $80 cheaper, investigating tax now

my lovely safari deal went down so I'm reinvestigating my options inc buying safari, buying an einstein and buying a 1000ws M series head
 
yes, worth the extra. multi voltage charging and has a aux battery socket too.

If you find yourself needing the aux battery, you can always buy a couple of SLA batteries for about £15-20 each and wire them up to the powercon connector, for a cheap extra life battery for it.
 
I have XT se & 100% impressed I ordered direct from Philipines on the Thursday was delivered 9:00 Tuesday morning by DHL,

Se version suitable for digital controlled flash ie Elinchrom BX500ri

I have 250+ 3/4 power shots in an still not off of green power (full)
