Xiaomi Mobiles

Simple. If you're on a very tight budget you won't get a great camera. Most budget phones have very average cameras. Up your budget and you'll get something better.can't have it all for £100.

if you are on a tight budget buy an unlocked hanset second hand and get a sim only contract - I was very happy with the iphone4 i bought in TP classifieds for 80 quid ( i sold it for 50 quid a year later when work issued us all with nokia windows phones - otherwise i'd still be using it )

Yeah, I know. Thats why I wondered if a different app, or some new software, would do the trick. I have zero Android experience.

I'm not an HDR user normally, never on DSLR....well maybe, just the once at a party....everyone was doing it & I can give it up whenever I like!

I'll want to use the phone for fun shots & at times have wished for HDR, when the flash is too weak, or obvious bright backgroud situations.
So the camera itself reviews really well. As such the hardware is sorted. It's been a while since I've had anything android, but I've got a Wileyfox storm on preorder for my daughter.

She liked the Ultra but the device styling itself looks like three years old. She also liked the Moto G but would have to go for the more expensive version to get more usable memory and the styling again isn't flush and contemporary enough with its non flat and rounded corners.

I'd agree with Moose. As said previously, you can pick up a g3 or note 3 for around 180-200 quid and they are seriously good in every department. The screen to body ratio is very high so the handsets aren't huge..... especially the g3.

Yeah, I know. I have idevices, but fancy something out of the ordinary & a decent camera that I'll enjoy using, when I don't have my full kit. Also wanted to give Android a go.

The search goes on....

edit; posted while you were typing, twist, I take your point.
