Is it wrong for a retired old fart to enjoy playing the Xbox?

Just bought a new Xbox mainly for when the grandkids come to stay over, they have their own games etc. I bought a game for myself at the same time I bouight the Xbox last week Assasins Creed Revelations, wasn't sure if I'd like it or not.
Got to say it's bloomin addictive but the missus thinks playing the thing is for the younger kids.
Somehow she doesn't agree with me saying it's better than getting square eyed watching Come Dine With Me and other daft reality junk. :)

A few useful things on Xbox live and I found streaming BBC Iplayer etc is far smoother than the Humax Freesat box.

Nothing wrong with it :) I brought "Assasins Creed Revelations" a few weeks back and its a brilliant game. I mainly play F1 2011 at the moment though however I do enjoy a good drift on Forza 4 :D

I quite regularly play online with a 60 year old on all manor of games, granted he's not great at them :) but nor am I compared to the kids these days, I think my reactions are going a bit :).....I'm 38 and been playing games since the around 1980 I suppose.

nothing wrong with that at all !!!!, i am 48 this year and am a total modern warfare/COD junkie, i play online with some french guys (1 of them x-french foriegn legion/ special forces !!) called the 60s crew, all of them bvorn in the 60s, the oldest born in 61!, enjoy.

If anyone fancies a go on forza 4 or f1 2011 add me "Beav69". I do have MW3 and other games but im not "in to" them at the moment. lol. I go through fazes where I stick to one or two games.

Games have matured as a medium, and frankly anyone of any age should feel free to play them and not care what anyone else thinks. Gaming is fun.

Been playing games consoles for years. I suggest you get the other assassins creed games and whilst your at it get the. Books. I have all of them and they are so good.

I don't go in for the whole online malarkey, but I cannot see me ditching the playstation or equivalent as time goes on

if you want to get the wifey playing, get trivial persuit or one of the film quizzes, when my parents come over we normally play those (monopoly was banned due to household violence...)

Pffft. I'm female and my favourite games include Battlefield, Call of Duty, Halo, Assassin's Creed series, and other supposedly "male" games. Shooting people is endless fun.

49 here and on PS3 most nights and at weekends to the detriment of outdoor activities usually.
GTA IV was excellent, Red Dead redemption good, Fallout 3, also liked dead space, the batman games and the Drake's ones although a bit short. Currently alternating between PGA Golf 09 and Resistance fall of man. Got crysis 2 on the shelf and looking forward to Max Payne and GTA V.
Been playing games for years, since just before first Doom came out on the PC.

Was beginnig to worry I might be a bit old for it, glad to see im in company!

Only got the PS3 for the Uncharted games and have to say was impressed. Nathan Drake, Marcus Fenix, Shepard and Master Chief all legendary computer characters.
