As I have sat here for the past few hours working on images I have been playing Stacey's music from X factor. It really does make a great collection and I reckon that if she was to release it as an album now I would buy it.

She should have a great future and I could imagine her first album will be released very quickly

It's almost like she is two separate people. When she is singing, she has this amazing voice. But when she speaks, she is straight off the council estate. Maybe it us best to muzzle her between songs?
 
I have to agree with both posts.

I would buy an album as well, when she sings I do get enveloped into the music and when she speaks, she brings a smile to my face, Stacey could be the winner.
 
I have to admit that last night was the first time I have ever watched X-factor and was astounded at the quality - I thought only Stacy and the guy after her could actually sing and project their voices, the others were all drowned out by the backing music and vocals. Why on earth do they allow the audience to make such a row during the performance - so that no one can hear what the performers sound like ?

I don't watch x factor but my my mrs insisted that I saw this girl.
In her defence she's from a working class Jewish background in Essex.
There are a lot of famous people who have a far from less perfect accent / way of speaking, Ricky Gervais and Noel Gallagher spring to mind.
I don't thing it's fair to use this as way to judge a person.

You've summed it up perfectly Christine. It was the first tie we've watched it last night and we thought exactly the same. Couldn't hear half of what the judges said either because of the audience. Can't help thinking that Stacey is another Leona Lewis/Alexandra Burke clone so she'll probably win it. I thought the guy after her was better though.
 
The girl is painfully shy hence the Roland Rat style voice. When she is not aware of an audience she speaks quite normally. As soon as she is put in the spotlight, she turns to jelly.

Watch Cowell's face when she sings. Exactly the same expression he wore when Leona and Alex were singing... i.e. how much can I make out of this kid?
 
I love her voice. I think it's pretty sexy. Am I the only one? She's pretty attractive too.

No you are not alone, this girl may seem to be dopey but really she has a good business head on her shoulders and a voice to die for when she sings and yes she is sexy as hell......she is just doing what the rest are doing, playing on attributes to win and good luck to her, I for one hope she wins it:thumbs:

I agree. I remember watching her first audition and being completely blown away by her raw ability, I think she is like a breath of fresh air and I love the innocence about her which I hope doesn't get tainted. Her voice is sublime and I wouldn't hesitate to buy her album (that would be an X-Factor first for me :D)
 
Personally I think Stacey will do a lot better in the long run if she doesn't win the X Factor. She is terribly shy but if she wins she will have a single out straight away, she'll be Christmas No.1, she'll be working on an album straight away and have tremendous pressure on her. Also she'll be thrown in to loads of TV and radio interviews that will terrify her.

If she comes 2nd or 3rd through she will be able to back off from the limelight for a few months. She can get training on public speaking, work on an album in slower time and get used to being the celebrity. She can then release her album when SHE is ready to rather than when Simon Cowell's X Factor contract tell her she has to.

As for her being sexy, I think I'm missing something. Lucy was the sexy one.
 
I suppose when you put it like that, getting voted off isn't really a bad thing. I think pretty much everyone left of a pure clone of what has gone before. There isn't an original one among them.
I liked Jamie Archer and really hope he can capitalise on his exposure, assuming Syco retract their vice like grip on him. Hope he goes on tour or summat.
 
I dunno. It's like she turns into a blonde version of Goofy when she's not singing. Probably the perfect act for Syco. Just do what you're told n don't argue. Jamie was too independant and wanted to do his own thing. You can't have total control over someone like him.
 
I hope Jamie does make it i though it was about time they had a rocker on. But how come the dance teacher in Simons group hasn't danced yet
 
I don't normally watch X Factor, don't have any TV reception here, but I did catch a bit of one show on ITVPlayer. I was telling a mate that one band had a really good singer, she wet herself and informed me that The Black Eyed Peas were an established act, in fact they were massive! I didn't have a clue. When did I become old?

Looks like you'll need to wait another year at least.
 
Ok, poor choice of words. I was trying to impress how different a person she is when she isn't singing. Not neccessarily in a good or bad way. I just hope she dosen't get chewed up n spat out by the Syco/X factor machine once they are done with her in a year or so.
