Looking for anyone who has used them before? They have something I was after for a good price, but I can't find any info\feedback from UK customers. Seems they are Holland and Belgium based with actual shops, so all appears to be legitimate... but I would rather hear from someone who has used them.

Is the saving big enough to make the potential hassle worth it? bearing in mind that any faulty item has to be sent back to Holland to be dealt with.

As I'm from the Netherlands ( just recently moved to Aberdeen) I can give you a genuine answer. I have used them in the past. They provide excellent service and are indeed a legitimate company. It is one of the three largest online photoshops in the Netherlands.

Remember that you have VAT to add on also. I recently looked into buying a Wimberley from them. It worked out no cheaper than buying over here.

I bought some Kirk bits from them last week, excellent service.
VAT included as they are in the EU, so the price they quote on their English page includes it. Delivery was six days via UPS, kept informed of delivery all way through.

EU, no VAT.

Interesting. I emailed them and they said that there would be 20% VAT, but no import duty.
I recieved it on my iphone, so deleted it unfortunately. :bang:

If I recall correctly, a change was introduced whereby VAT is charged at the rate prevailing in the customer's country, so 20% would be correct. Obviously, no import duty as it's from within the EU.

From the current VAT helpsheet at HMRC

Supplying and delivering goods from another EU country to non VAT-registered customers in the UK. If you sell and deliver goods (or arrange for their delivery) from another EU country to customers in the UK who aren't registered for VAT and don't have to be registered, this is known as distance selling. Common examples are mail order and Internet sales. If the value of your distance sales in the calendar year from 1 January goes over the distance selling threshold, currently £70,000, you must register for UK VAT. You can also register voluntarily, if you are trading below the threshold or you intend to start trading.

Same applies - with slightly different limits - to all countries of the EU. The critical part is the VAT registration threshold.

There is no VAT to pay or import duty. If buying from the EU (excluding special territories) it is no different from buying from any UK high street store or website!

The only confusion might have been if the Dutch dealer was quoting ex-VAT prices on the website (if it was trade, for example) but it specifically says "All prices include VAT"

The VAT is a big red herring, you pay what you see, period.
