Well - something 'infected' his gadgetry and if it's nothing he can trace - the only alternative is a gremlin laughing at his discomfiture :)

I wish! Would have to cancel a 21st and a 65th birthday plus a little project that I am working on.......

Jeez if it's working normally and unplugged then you do have a problem and not of the terrestrial type :runaway:

Me thinks a priest is required
Hence my link earlier to the poltergeist film ;)

OT - when those universal remotes first came out while i was at uni, many hours of fun (well minutes anyway) were spent standing outside the opposing halls of residence randomly changing the chanel on their TV.. this was especially amusing during the cup final

Not being religious anymore, I would suggest a full blown exorcism, and please keep us updated along the way, preferably with video links and stills - particularly as this is a photography forum.

Ye gods, the telly has been so bad over the Christmas period, we do need a bit of entertainment thrown our way by the real experts.

You aren't watching to through Sky by any chance? Have you got something on top of the Sky box?

Don't have sky but everything had settled since I switch off the tv and unplugged it for a while then turning it back on...

Must be running embedded Microsoft Windows then :P

We regularly get the same problem on a Panasonic, channel changing, TV turning off, programs starting to record themselves.
Check that the wife hasn't fallen asleep with the remote tucked down the side of her chair, every time she moves.... click

The cure is a long stick to prod her until she moves enough to get back to the program you were watching in the first place, it worked for me.

I take it you're posting from your hospital bed  :-)

And a further round of surgery will be required to remove the remote from the deepest reaches of your fundamental orifice? :wideyed:

Ahhhh, so that's why the sun's stopped shining, the remote's blocking the light path :mooning:
