Let me start by saying I have no connection with this company at all, I just want to pass on some information
I have just bought , it arrived today , a wrist strap from a company called cordweaver (https://www.cordweaver.co.uk/) for the princely sum of £10.00.
It have got it on an XT-1 and it is excellent, if you are looking for wrist strap have a look at them.
If I should not have posted this I apologise and please delete the thread
 
Brian (Mr Cordweaver) has a small but dedicated fan base here. I think I now have four Cordy Cats.....
 
Yep I got one too, and if you have to email him/them the reply in within 5 mins, most days/eves.
Excellent straps too and deff VFM.
 
For 'all' cameras, regardless of make, I use and have used for yonks a Nikon AN-4B Nylon Neck Strap.

It's dual purpose...a neck strap....and I wrap it around my wrist for a wrist strap.

A wrist strap is useless when changing lenses INVMO, the camera need to be hung around ones neck.
 
What Cordy strap do people recommend? Classic or Cat? Going to be used on a micro 4/3rds camera

A neck strap wrapped around your wrist is just as useless as a wrist strap wrapped around your wrist when changing lenses.

That's when you put the neck strap around your neck, been doing it for yonks.....!

And I take the wrist strap off my wrist which is the same thing. Hold the camera in one hand and change the lens with the other, been doing it for yonks.... and those wrist straps look way better than a neck strap.

I started with a Classic as that was the only one available at the time but now I'm firmly in the Cat camp. I've no idea of the relative virtues of cord loop vs D-ring, however.

I went for a Cordy Cat with a peak design anchor as I wanted a way to remove the strap quickly from the camera when used on a tripod or I want to use a neck strap. The optech options don't seem to support much weight from what I could find compared to the peak design one's.
 
Not that dissimilar to these ( bit of a standing joke with a couple of chaps on here)

I use the standard Op/Tech Uni Loops rather than the mini ones and they're more than enough for the job. It also helped that I already had some as I use an Op/Tech Utility Sling as my shoulder strap.
 
The new peak design one is, aham, peaking my interest.
 
I made one of these for myself and put a carabiner on the end, to be totally honest i didn't know these were on sale.

I also use it when walking with a backpack and put the wrist part round the should strap
 
Love my Cordy Cat on my A7R2...
Only slight annoyance is if you dangle the camera from the strap, it cinches onto your wrist pretty tightly which can make it hard to get off.

'Footprint' genuine leather straps, simply fantastic, I've been using two for a few years now, hand made by Clive in the UK (eBay), a choice of about 14 different colours, quality hand stitching.

Might try and make one from these

Already having a peak design strap and knowing how to weaver paracord I made my own.
