Yes
so I'm shooting a wrestling match again on friday
it's lots of fun and the lads (and ladies) put on a great show.
However, I've raised the idea of portraits and have some time to this this.
However, without some serious practise time I was hoping for some TP wisdom to help my setup.

Basically I'm thinking of a shoot-through at 45o to the subjects right and then another speedlite behind to their left to add something of an edge to them.
Equipment isn't too much of a problem as it's not a pro-shoot.
If the guys want something moodier I was going to take the shoot through 90 degrees so that it's on their right hand side and create something with more definition and shadows.

Might even put a silver brolly on the floor and an impromptu reflector to just add some light to their front and face

however, as it's on location I don't know what room I've got yet to work with..
so with the bits and pieces I have I'll see what I can do, any advice welcome
cheers
Cropped canon DSLR, 17-55, 30mm, 50mm, 70-200 f2.8
3x speedlites, IR commander (fully ETTL)
2 good shoot-throughs and stands
3rd stand and smaller silver brollies
a flash light meter! (only used a few times in the studio so far) :bonk:
