This is the first one I've seen (I don't look a great deal, was looking for the standard 2560x1440). "Retina" 5K (5120 x 2880) 27" display from Dell. £1800 though. I bet the display is stunning.

£1679, but still you could take home a whole 5K imac at pretty much same price. aRGB colour space vs iMac - interesting decision to make. I'll wait till the prices drop. I still need to finish off another buggy early revision 27" dell.

I just bought the Dell U2713HM Tomas. A snip at £399.

My OH just upgraded her screen from an old 21.5" HP zr22w as needed something larger and looks like Dell discontinued the u2713hm and replaced it with the u2715h @£416 - it looks a bit better than the u2713hm and they have got rid of the old legacy ports like dsub and dvi so generally more up to date - quite a good option if £1250 for the 27" 5k model is too much - also not so sure how well w8 supports 5k yet

It's can also be hardware calibrated.. only with the i1 Display Pro... but I have one of those :)

Interesting indeed. Pity it's a 27" 16:9 though.

5k on a 27" screen will result in some terribly small text and icons though. Windows doesn't do scaling as well as Apple unfortunately.

If they bring a 4K 30" 16:10 version out I'll be very interested.
