I agree.

Ah the image is not on my Internet store and I have just move house so sadly it will be Monday at the earliest to upload it!

To be honest I don't think it is my best and I'm fairly sure it would not come up to the standards posted in this forum!

But I could describe it! It was a photo of a dragon fly in mid flight. It looks like an amazing Macro shot but actually it was a MASSIVE dragon fly it was about three inches big! :D

I took it in a 30 degree heat so plenty of photons kicking about so the camera was set to

ISO 100, 1/2000 and F2.8 and at 200mm on my Sigma 70-200mm and D60

I took about 400 photos in three hours just trying to get them in the shot. I couldn't help wonder where they where going! :)

Took one such myself a while back – looked like a tiny flower captured in fabulous macro detail but was, in reality, a bloom the size of a 10 gallon hat!

Your sister obviously has an eye for a good photograph, as did the judges of the competition. Have you thought about employing her as your agent/PR lady? ;)

Well done Stu, looking forward to seeing the shot

Even without pics this thread has taught me something.

Don't buy a macro lens, just look for big subjects

Are the results of the compo not online? We are an impatient lot.

That's a good catch. I've tried photographing them at my local river and they move very fast.
