Would you let your 16 yr old daughter go camping with her friends?

if you (absoloutly anyone on tp) are not a parent of a teenage girl.. what the heck are you doing offering advice n this thread?

Well, I'd guess that if Jeff only wanted advice from parents of 16 old girls he'd have asked in a 'teenage parenting forum' (if there's such a thing) and I'd like to think that he has the sense to filter any advice he's given and to take each view on its own merit

To be fair though, even members who are not parents of teenage girls were either 16 year old girls once or probably chased after 16 year old girls . . . so still a valid perspective IMHO.

The parents that were supposed to be going are not going.
Are you sure there ARE a group of teenage girls going together.........and not just a boyfriend?
I suppose only you know your daughter, if you feel she is mature enough to go out camping with whoever, why not?

Yes I'm sure it'a group of about eight 16 year old girls....

The question was more about would you let your daughter go from a safety perspective....
