I'm not good with all the camera lingo by any means, but that seems very good value for money! If i had money, I would be more than happy to buy that bundle, and if i ended up not using it, i would just sell it on again
 
I reckon you'd make at least 50 notes if you stuck the lot on the classifed section here the day you bought it !
 
i only looked at it through the window,so not sure if the cables,manual etc are included :bonk:

I've just phoned them now and the lady is going to ask her manager if they can send it out to me.

Hope they can.
 
I've just phoned them and they originally said they couldn't send it out but they could put it away for me until the end of the day. They then said "could you please ring us back in an hour".

I suspect they've had a flood of calls about this camera over the last 20 minutes and are wondering why it's become so popular.
 
I've just had a call back from them and I'm sending a cheque to them today for it.

If i can get enough posts by the time it arrives, the camera will be in the for sale section, minus the flash.
 
Mark, if you have bought this camera then you've got yourself a bargain so good on you. If you are going to sell it on then I would be very interested in buying the flash off you as long as it is in good working order. I assume as a good honest TP member you'll only be making yourself a minimal profit and passing a similar bargain on to someone else who is also a good honest TP member. :naughty: :thumbs:

On another notte though, if you are the buyer and they are accepting a payment by cheque and sending it on to you then I'll be pretty annoyed with the shop because I offered them payment there and then over the phone and I was arranging with Stan for him to go in and collect it for me. As far as I know I got in there first but they said they would only sell to someone who came in to the shop to make payment. I'll well gutted to have missed out because I really need another flash but don't have the funds to buy even a second hand SB600 at the normal going rate.
 
I phoned up and they woman said she would get back to me.

I said I can pay over the phone; they don’t take card payments over the phone, hence the reason for the cheque. I phoned up at about 11.30. I then replied to the thread on here as soon as I put the phone down. So I’m not sure who had got there first.

I’m going to keep the flash and then sell the camera on providing it all works. Hope it does otherwise it'll be a waste.

They did say the camera was tested and comes with the charger etc.
 
Having seen the sort of people who sell to that type of store, watch out its not stolen!!

Seems like a good price though.
 
sounds as though it is a good price as long as it hasnt had too many photos taken with it :whistling:

I just walked into the shop, said my name was Mark Abersoch and I had decided to collect in person instead of sending a cheque.

Paid in cash and now have a pretty mint Nikon D40 and flash.

So Mark .. what's it worth to you .... :)
 
Well unless they think i can drive fast i dont think i could of got down there that quick.

Yes that was one of my reservations.

I have just spoke to them again and they have still got it and are waiting for my cheque.

Just hope thet stan the mans description was right.

By the time i had left at 2 after they had phoned me back it would of been 4 hours and it would take 4.5 hours to get there, so i would of had to drive above the speed limit.
