Well the eos5000 apparently uses an EF mount, so it will 'fit', but as the last one sold for £4.71 on eBay, including the camera, and the feedback on the web is, shall we say, somewhat less than enthusiastic, especially about the AF, it's not going to do you any favours (that's if the AF even works - some say it does not).

Its a plastic lens that came as a kit with the EOS 5000 back in the late 80's or early 90's,even then it was acknowledged as a bit of a dog

Well on a crop camera, it's a very short tele zoom, with crap optics and worse AF. I can't think of a use for it, the fiver would be better spent on lottery tickets.
