Wot, no Winter Olympics thread?

I thought it was tame compared to rob Warner's World Cup mountain biking commentary :D

Seriously I think the old farts need something else to get their colostomy bags in a knot. So they got behind our girl.

the winter Olympics not just a get together for rich kids to play sports?

I find the curling is like watching paint dry

One of the Swedish ladies was rather attractive though - well worth watching...

I haven't watch a single second of it and intend not to neither. No interest to me at all.

should have asked her mum and dad for more cash then lol
A fireman and midwife wouldn't be particularly flush.

If it was not for the chance of seeing a skier taking a tumble the whole thing would be nothing but a bore to me. Bloody yawn from start to finish otherwise.

Me to....been as though skiing and stuff has no appeal to me i did think it would be a bit tedious but far from it, that snowboarding down the pipe thingy was pretty awesome.
So much so i said to her in the kitchen that i may get a bit of training done ready for 4 years time.....i'll only be 57 by then so no problem with a few tricks on the snow ;)

Surprised there isn't a thread already with our first ever winter medal this weekend..

First ever winter medal? Didn't Amy Williams win a gold last time or doesn't that count?

Beg pardon, sure that was the sound bite I heard.

I misread the initial reports, but its the first winter medal on snow ;)

Jenny is inspirational to anyone who thinks they can't afford to take part in sport.

She only started on snow aged 17, became a chalet girl and worked an evening job so she could afford to go to France for the season, she then continued to fund her lifestyle (6 months surfing & 6 months snowboarding) through many part time jobs.

She's won 3 gold and 1 silver at X-games and was going to retire when they announced that her event was going to become an Olympic event.

Massive, huge, epic, solid.
Next thing you know the commentators will be rapping.

Can't believe they're not showing the ice hockey. I've been really looking forward to it.

There's been quite a lot of Ice Hockey on BBC2.

The men's competition has only just started. What you've seen was the women's comp. Thankfully the red button is now showing the game I want to see (from the second period), Czech Republic v Sweden.

Ah! Haven't been watching it, just knew it had been on.

First time I've really found a use for my "smart" tv.

BBC Sport app has carried most of the events I wanted to see, biathlon and cross country"

Apart from our medals, best for me so far has been team luge and today's stunning result in the ladies cross country relay.

The winter olympics holds no interest for me...not after watching ladies beach volly ball at the summer olympics:)

I definitely didn't miss them. I am now they've been knocked out though...

How about the speed stripping/skating?
