Hi i currently have lumix fz72 which i use to take pictures of wildlife and scenery and stuff, but have chance of canon eso 1300d would it be worth upgrading, would i see any difference with my photos.

i know i would lose then zoom which i like but maybe able buy lens later down the line. Any feedback would be great.
 
I'd say yes , but check what lenses you are getting with the camera as if its body only you'll also need to budget for a lens - if it comes with an 18-55 kit lens you'll need to budget for a long lens (the 55-250 is the best budget mid/long lens at about £100) - for a properly long lens you'll need something like a sigma 150-600 which won't leave much change out of £750
 
Does the EOS 1300D have a metal or plastic mount?. I'd be wary about putting a long heavy lens on a budget body if you wanted a telephoto for wildlife (the 55-250 is ok for the money),

Are you happy with the LUMIX David? If you are then I'd see no reason to change
 
Re plastic or metal mounts, i used to hang a Sigma 50-500mm lens from a Canon 1000D which is plastic mount with no failure.

The clue with big lenses attached to bodies is you never carry just by the body.
When shooting i use to hold both the body and lens and when carrying i would carry by the lens collar rather than the camera.

Unless you're limited in some way by the Lumix, there isn't really much need to upgrade IMHO. I've seen some stunning photos taken using a Lumix bridge camera.

If you go to a DSLR, you'll be giving up a LOT of reach even if you purchase some big lenses.

The gains from DSLR include:
- larger sensor which typically has potential for improved image quality
- options for ultra-wide lenses
- optical viewfinder
- better focusing speed
- faster shutter response
 
My main reason for upgrading is my FZ72 is not that good in low light and I'm getting few grainy picture. Been told that my images would be better if I upgraded
