World Record Attempt 400 people

not a clue really... but

Good Luck, and I hope you achieve it

Weather forecast is sunny intervals so you might be lucky with the sky.

I'm missing something, is the record that they are all planting the bulbs at the same time or that you are taking a photograph of that many people within 2 minutes?

Just set the shutter to 'bulb' and fire away  ............. sorted!

.......Any suggestions? i've got the wide angle lens, figuring high as f/stop as possible (5 rows of people)?

5 rows would be 80 people per row which sounds far too wide to me, even with a wideangle lens. I'd try 16 rows of 25, although the ideal setup is a vee formation. I don't think a step ladder will be anywhere near high enough - you really need a cherry picker (and a loudhailer).

Ah ok, I thought it was a record for most people photographed as in portraits but then there was chat about wideangle lenses that seemed to defeat the point of that a bit!

Just make sure your not shy about shouting at people, like proper bawling at them to make sure they are ALL looking your way.

Second tog???

nice and close use DOF especially if they're planting in rows and they're all in a line

Try something unexpected. Get in close to a group with side angle and see if you can get the rest of the planters in the background. Do a few of those and you have some close up shots of people to sell aswell as capturing the size of the group.

How did you get on?

Bit late wasn't I? :)

is 400 people all in one shot a record? /looks at massive crowd photos

i was being flippant..

hi guys, right the shots are sorted but i'm not sure what I can/cant show yet due to how many kids were in the shots, the main one i'm pretty happy with was a huge panorama of everyone :)

i'll try and get that on here soon, thanks for the advice shot over 200 in the few minutes before/during/after.

Weather held for the most part and the kids loved it! (got a little fan club every time I lifted the camera) just hoping the club that hired me like them (they get the disc tomorrow and a shot goes to the local paps too)

:)
